365-Day Project: June 10-14
I always think I’m going to update every day, but I never quite get there. This week ended up being a little busier than I thought it would be.

Las Vegas is known for it's neon, and I have to admit, the neon looks cool at night. My sister, Julia, just got a job once more at Rave Motion Pictures this summer. I took this photo on June 10.

On Thursday, we took my step-dad to Capital Grille for his birthday. I'd never been there before. It had absolutely delicious steak, although it was definitely only for special events.

On June 12, we went to Super Summer Theater to see "The Buddy Holly Story." My friend Kaymen was in the ensemble. He's in the top row left, with his hands raised above his head. Kaymen is an absolutely awesome performer: a great singer, dancer and actor. Whenever he's on stage, he just glows, and the audience can't help but watch him. My friend Kerri joked that it was good that he didn't have a bigger role, or he would have stolen the show from the main characters.

I had such an interesting Saturday, but very few chances to take photos. This is a decorated palm tree in Ricardo's, where we ate dinner. We went there after a showing of "Thor at the Bus Stop," a movie made by some local filmmakers that was premiering at CineVegas. My friend Andy did the props for it, so we went to see his handiwork. The movie itself was quite funny and heartwarming. It was also awesome because it took place in Vegas, but it had absolutely nothing about the Strip. What a nice change. Andy tells me it will probably be a year before it's out on DVD. I plan on buying it and showing everyone I know.

I want to call this photo "New Life." I thought this plant had died, but I kept watering it, and it came back and started blooming again. I found these icky green worms on my tomato and pepper plants. I found out from some friends that they are bad. My mom helped me cut them off and drown them. I felt kind of bad killing them, but I wasn't sure what else to do. They were bad, and they were killing my plants.
