365-Day Project: March 2 and 3

March 4th, 2009 by laura

This morning, I was looking at the Everybody Votes channel on the Wii. For those who don’t have it, Wii users can log on and answer poll questions. Today’s poll question was, “Do you like your favorite song because of the music or the lyrics?”

Currently, my favorite song is “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” by the Beatles, and has been for quite a while. At first, I was going to click “music,” but I thought better of it for a moment. Really, the reason that song is my favorite is because of the music and the lyrics. It wouldn’t be my favorite if I didn’t like both aspects of it.

I ultimately chose lyrics just because I think most people are going to say music and because I like a lot of songs for the music, but they are not my favorite.

Anyway, here’s the last two days’ photos.

I haven't had many photos with people for a while. Here's Robert sitting in Grimaldi's on March 2.

For those of you who are in Las Vegas and like choir music, my choir, the Las Vegas Master Singers, is having a concert at Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave., at 7:30 p.m. this Friday. It’s $10 general admission, $7 for adults over 55 and $5 for students with ID. We’re singing “Cloudburst” by Eric Whitacre, some Bach, Joshua Shank, Frank Ticheli, Rosephanye Powell, Z. Randall Stroope and others. It’s mostly 20th Century music.

I have a minor solo in the concert, as well. It should be a good time. We’ve worked really hard.

It does kind of emphasize your more cro magnum features.

I know, doesn’t it? It’s a shame that men are too metrosexual these days. I mean, we should all hearken back to the good old days when men looked like manly men.

That, and I haven’t trimmed my beard in awhile. :p
